Designing a new museum complex, located a short distance from the Pyramids of Giza, the project investigates issues of form, culture and environment. The main structure climbs the dunes, creating terrace gardens. The levels are linked by a loggia outside, and by interconnected vestibules inside. A low, massive structure from the outside, the museum’s interior gallery spaces are connected and organized by mathematical principals, referencing Ancient Egypt’s vital developments in math. The permanent exhibitions are at the top of the site, at the same level as the Pyramids.
