Lobby Renovation

COMPLETION DATE :
2005

Originally housing light-industrial manufacturing, the 1930’s midtown Manhattan building has shifted to designers and artists. The project reconfigured the lobby and facade to be compatible with its current situation. The two narrow visitor and service lobbies were reconfigured into one large lobby space. Restoring some of the building’s original materials created subtle contrasts. The ceiling was raised and illuminated with light coves. The entrance was reconfigured to distinguish the building entrance from neighboring retail.
