CB Insights HQ 2020

The design organizes two separate work areas and other spaces connected by a “main street” corridor that traverses the overall space. The corridor acts as a collector for employees providing gathering areas for diverse groups of varied sizes. The corridor connects office areas with support spaces including the cafeteria and a large multipurpose lounge. Within the largest of the two open workspaces, conference room “pods” create zones for staff and teams to interact while breaking up the vast, singular open floor plan.

The esthetic aligns with the youthful spirit of the company and includes exposed concrete floors and ceilings with exposed ducts, pipes, and data raceways. Patches of existing terrazzo flooring left intact are integrated into the design. New glass and metal partitions and wood panels elegantly detailed to contrast with the bare surfaces lend a degree of sophistication to the design.
