Set between the RFK/Triborough and Hell Gate Bridges, the roof of the stadium echoes the repetitive structures of the bridge trestles forming a physical presence compatible to the long bridge structures. The ashlar cladding of the building references stone of the Irish countryside. Under the flight path to LaGuardia Airport, the distinctive curvilinear roof of the clubhouse serves as a notable form when seen from the air.
