The design employs many of the same strategies used at Zucker’s Columbus: false ceilings, wall panels and overlaid flooring were all removed to take full advantage of the great height of the space.
The original brick walls and worn pressed tin ceiling were exposed. New wood and blackened steel materials were introduced including a 24-foot-long communal table.
The curved eastern wall has a sublime golf-leaf mural by the artist, David Bender.
The overall space renders a stylish urban flair to the classic New York deli.
